The PosiCharge MVS 800 is Ampure's multi-vehicle fast-charge system for electric ground support equipment: a single 80 kW Powerserver cabinet feeds satellite Powerstations so that up to 16 vehicles — tow tugs, baggage tractors, belt loaders — charge from one utility connection. OEM literature cites MVS installations across the world's largest airports, and the architecture is designed to charge roughly three times the equipment for the same installed power as conventional one-charger-per-vehicle setups.

For airport operators this addresses the decision every eGSE fleet purchase forces six to twelve months later: charging infrastructure. Electric GSE fleets are rarely uniform — a ramp can run 24 V belt loaders next to 80 V or 96 V baggage tractors with a mix of battery types. The MVS 800 spans a 24-96 V battery voltage range, and its Smart Battery Monitor and Identification Device (BMID) identifies the connected battery so different vehicles and batteries share the same charger rather than each type demanding a dedicated unit. The system is GBT CAN protocol compliant.

Electrically, the Powerserver takes 480 or 600 VAC three-phase input at a 0.96 power factor and 95% efficiency, with a 100 A / 80 A full-load draw. Each 60 kW Powerstation delivers 250 A in dual mode or 500 A in single mode, with Euro and Burton output connector and cable options. A power-share function can share capacity with jet bridges or other airside devices to reduce installation cost.

The NEMA 3R enclosure is rated for all-weather outdoor operation and the published operating temperature range extends to +50°C — directly relevant to GCC apron environments where summer ambient temperatures routinely exceed 45°C. Safety features include automatic start/stop, anti-arcing disconnect and automatic thermal shutdown; the OEM lists UL, CSA and C-Tick compliance.
