The Angloco ARFF Vehicle 2800 is a compact aircraft rescue and firefighting tender built on a MAN 13.290 4x4 chassis at 13,500 kg GVW. It carries 2,400 litres of water and 390 litres of foam concentrate, with an aluminium alloy multi-pressure centrifugal pump rated at 2,500 litre/min at 10 bar. The pump discharges to a remote-controlled bumper turret monitor, two regulated outlets, two unregulated outlets, and a high-pressure hose reel. A ground sweep / under-truck spray nozzle system protects the vehicle underbelly and provides surface cooling during approach. A 68-litre dry powder unit with 30 m semi-rigid hose rounds out the agent carrying capability.

This vehicle is sized for airports operating primarily narrow-body domestic aircraft, executive charter, and cargo turboprops — the ICAO Category 4 to 6 range. Its 13,500 kg GVW gives it excellent access to temporary ramps, general aviation aprons, and facilities with restricted structural loadings. The automatic foam proportioning system supports both 3% and 6% mixing ratios, ensuring the vehicle is agent-agnostic across AFFF or fluorine-free foam concentrates the operator may source regionally.

For procurement engineers the key differentiators within this class are the cab-controlled bumper turret (rated to 1,500 litre/min) that enables effective pre-wetting and knockdown before the crew dismounts, the electric winch for disabled-aircraft or vehicle recovery, the floodlight mast for night operations, and the ladder gantry for elevated fuselage access. The four-door crew cab provides a five-person crew complement with SCBA bracket provision for all rear crew. The MAN 13.290 platform is widely supported across Europe and the Middle East, reducing parts lead times for operators outside the UK.

Best for

Use cases.

  • First response ARFF vehicle at regional, domestic, and general aviation airports
  • Single-vehicle ARFF provision at ICAO Category 4–6 aerodromes and heliports
  • Executive and VIP terminal facilities requiring a compact but capable fire appliance
  • Fleet second-vehicle or backup tender at larger airports requiring rapid single-crew response
  • Facilities with restricted apron structural loading where heavier 4x4 or 6x6 tenders cannot operate
  • Military airfields and offshore island airports with limited infrastructure support
