JetFoam 1% (ICAO-B)
The world's first 1% film-forming, fluorine-free foam concentrate certified to ICAO Level B — delivering fast aviation fuel fire knockdown with the lowest concentrate volume in its class.
JetFoam 1% (ICAO-B) is a synthetic, fluorine-free (F3) foam concentrate formulated at a 1% induction rate for suppressing and securing Jet-A and Jet-A1 fuel fires and spills. It is the first F3 foam at 1% concentration capable of true film formation on aviation kerosene — a performance previously exclusive to AFFF concentrates — achieved through a patent-pending combination of surfactants that replicates aqueous film behaviour without any fluorosurfactants, fluoropolymers, PFOA, or PFOS.
Primary deployment is on Aviation Rescue Fire Fighting Vehicles (ARFFV), Rapid Intervention Vehicles (RIV), and airport crash tenders where saving lives demands the fastest possible surface coverage and vapour seal. The 1% rate is the operational differentiator: it reduces concentrate storage volume requirements by two-thirds compared with a 3% product, and by six times compared with a 6% product, directly extending vehicle range and reducing logistical burden at large hub airports managing high fuel-load aircraft like wide-bodies.
The formulation is truly Newtonian — it behaves like water with no polymer or gelling-agent drag — ensuring accurate proportioning through standard in-line or portable inductors without modification. It is certified to EN1568:2018 Part 3 and meets ICAO 2013 Level B fire performance requirements. Fully biodegradable and GreenScreen-assessed, it is positioned for airports transitioning away from PFAS-containing AFFF under tightening EU and international environmental regulations. Compatible with fresh and potable water and twin-agent dry powder configurations.
