JetFoam 6% (ICAO-B)
A 6% fluorine-free film-forming concentrate delivering ICAO Level B certified performance for airports maintaining legacy proportioning systems calibrated to 6% induction.
JetFoam 6% (ICAO-B) is a synthetic F3 foam concentrate formulated for aviation fuel fire suppression at a 6% induction rate, meeting and exceeding ICAO 2013 Level B fire performance as certified to EN1568:2018 Part 3. It sits at the higher-volume end of the JetFoam ICAO-B range alongside the 1% and 3% variants, providing a fluorine-free migration path for ARFF fleets whose installed foam proportioners are fixed at 6% induction — a common configuration on older crash tender generations and at airports that standardised on 6% AFFF before proportioner-independent systems became prevalent.
Like all JetFoam ICAO-B products, the 6% variant exhibits Newtonian flow behaviour with low viscosity, enabling it to be inducted accurately through standard equipment without flow-rate compensation. It produces a vapour-sealing foam blanket over Jet-A and Jet-A1 surfaces, providing rapid control and extinguishment and sustained burnback resistance during the critical period while fire crews complete their approach. The film-forming mechanism suppresses fuel vapour generation on unignited spills, reducing explosion risk on the ramp.
The formulation is 100% biodegradable with no fluorosurfactants, PFOA, PFOS, or organohalogens, and is compatible with potable and fresh water. It supports twin-agent operation alongside dry powder. Shelf life is at least 10 years under correct storage. The Gold Green Apple Award (Science and Technology) recognises the product's combination of operational performance and environmental credentials — directly relevant to GCC airport operators facing both environmental compliance pressure and the requirement to maintain ICAO Category compliance.
