Respondol ATF 3x3%
A dual-hazard 3% fluorine-free foam concentrate approved for both hydrocarbon and polar solvent fires, certified to EN1568 Parts 3 and 4 and GreenScreen Silver — the all-fuels choice for airport fire stations stocking a single operational concentrate.
Respondol ATF 3x3% is a synthetic, alcohol-resistant fluorine-free (AR-FF) foam concentrate that extinguishes and secures both hydrocarbon fires (oils, gasoline, diesel, aviation kerosene) and polar solvent fires (alcohols, ketones, esters, ethers) at a uniform 3% proportioning rate. This dual-hazard capability makes it a practical single-stock operational foam for airport fire stations, fuel depots, and industrial facilities that handle both conventional aviation fuels and solvent-based chemicals without the complexity of stocking and proportioning two separate concentrates.
The product is independently certified to EN1568:2008 Parts 3 and 4 — the hydrocarbon and polar-solvent test series respectively — with performance exceeding both standards. It also holds UL162 7th Edition approval, passes Lastfire testing in fresh and sea water, and is certified to IMO MSC.1/Circ.1312 for marine applications. It is fully GreenScreen Certified to Silver level, reflecting the absence of fluorinated surfactants, fluoropolymers, and other high-concern chemicals.
The foam produces a vapour-sealing blanket with a drainage time exceeding one hour — substantially longer than the JetFoam ICAO series — providing extended vapour suppression after initial knockdown, which is valuable for deep-pool spill containment and large-area fuel farm incidents. Specific gravity sits between 1.00 and 1.04 at 20 °C; freezing point is -6 °C with a lowest operational use temperature of 1.7 °C. Compatible with fresh and saltwater proportioning, and integrates into both portable and fixed foam system configurations.
