The VPF-750 is the most advanced sensor in the VPF range, adding the ability to report freezing precipitation beyond the codes typically available from a forward-scatter sensor. A backscatter receiver combined with external temperature, humidity and precipitation sensors gives it strong frozen-versus-liquid precipitation discrimination. It targets RVR reporting, METAR and aviation meteorology, and can integrate with the ALS-2 ambient light sensor.
