It uses a dual-mode design combining 3D laser scanning and machine-vision technology to track and locate the aircraft nose, engines and nose wheel in real time, displaying flight information, aircraft type, distance to the stop line and lateral deviation on a high-brightness LED screen. An optional Docking Guidance Management System (DGMS) centrally supervises all VDGS units over Ethernet.
