ApronVision Advanced Visual Docking Guidance System (A-VDGS)
Laser A-VDGS guiding pilots to the stop position with 100% accurate aircraft identification.
ApronVision is TK Airport Solutions' advanced visual docking guidance system (A-VDGS), guiding pilots precisely and safely to the aircraft stop position and enabling automated boarding-bridge operations. It builds a high-resolution point cloud of up to 2.6 million data points per second across a 360-degree scan and uses patented transponder-receiver technology (introduced 2013) for 100% accurate aircraft identification, on a laser foundation pioneered in 1992. TK states more than 2,500 A-VDGS units are installed at over 100 airports and airlines.
