Cargo Dolly / Castor Deck / Roller Deck — manufactured by Delite Systems Engineers
Manufactured-in-Mumbai cargo dollies, castor decks, and roller decks for ULD ground movement and cargo-terminal staging at Indian airports.
Delite Systems Engineers manufactures the three core non-motorised ULD handling platforms used in air cargo ramp and terminal operations: cargo dollies, castor decks, and roller decks. Cargo dollies are tow-bar-operated trailers that carry ULD containers and pallets between the aircraft and the cargo terminal, designed to a standard 508 mm (20 inch) top-deck height that aligns directly with aircraft cargo-hold sill heights and terminal transfer equipment. Castor decks are modular, non-powered platforms fitted with multi-directional swivel castors (approximately 14 per square metre) that allow a single operator to push a loaded ULD in any direction across a level surface — indispensable in staging areas where pallet orientation must be changed before loading. Roller decks are similarly modular flat platforms with fixed-axis steel rollers for unidirectional transfer, used at the interface between dollies and cargo-hall conveyor lines. All three products follow IATA ULD handling conventions for deck height and surface geometry, ensuring compatibility with the standard 10-ft ULD footprint (nominal deck L×W approximately 3,315 × 2,600 mm for full-size castor modules) and a capacity of up to 6,800 kg per module. As manufactured goods, these units offer airports and ground-handlers a supply-chain advantage over imported equivalents: local production shortens lead times, reduces freight and duty costs, and allows the equipment to be procured alongside Delite's conveyor and BHS scopes under a consolidated contract. Hot-dipped galvanised steel framing is the typical construction for corrosion resistance in the open-apron environment.
