Delite Systems Engineers manufactures LED-illuminated airside sign boards for runway and taxiway guidance, covering both mandatory instruction signs (red background, white inscription) and information/location signs (yellow or black face depending on type) as defined under ICAO Annex 14 Volume I Section 5.4 and Appendix 4. These signs are the pilot's primary positional reference on the ground: they identify runway designators, holding positions, taxiway designations, and route information — making their photometric performance and structural integrity directly safety-relevant at all traffic levels. LED lamp arrays replace older incandescent or fluorescent sources, delivering lower power draw, longer lamp life (typically 50,000+ hours versus 1,000–2,000 h for incandescent), and consistent luminance across the operating range from very low ambient light to full daylight. Cabinets are constructed in powder-coated, corrosion-resistant aluminium with UV-stabilised polycarbonate or acrylic face panels for uniform light diffusion. The structures must meet frangibility requirements per ICAO standards, meaning that on impact by an aircraft or ground vehicle, the sign cabinet fractures predictably without causing airframe damage. As a manufacturer and installer, Delite supplies these boards as part of integrated airfield lighting and marking projects, combining sign board supply with the constant-current regulator circuits and cabling that drive them — a consolidated scope that reduces coordination risk for the airport procurement team. The LED product line is positioned as a direct replacement technology for airports upgrading legacy incandescent sign fleets as part of energy-reduction or CAT upgrade programmes.
