DKA Aerospace's galley standard unit containers are the modular building blocks of an aircraft galley storage system. Designed to slot into ATLAS and KSSU galley monuments — the two predominant fitment standards across Boeing and Airbus commercial fleets — they provide enclosed, secure stowage for beverages, dry goods, service items, and catering supplies. The Standard Unit weighs from 2.8 kg, making it competitive in mass with third-party aluminium containers, while the EcoLite GEN2 variant sheds a further 14% from the original EcoLite baseline to reach 2.4 kg, directly reducing galley monument weight across a full aircraft complement. The award-winning push-to-close locking mechanism — recognised with a Mercury Award — provides single-handed closure at speed, a practical advantage for cabin crew during high-tempo service. Pull handles are positioned ergonomically for one-hand retrieval in cramped galley aisles. Both Standard Unit and EcoLite GEN2 are available across ATLAS, KSSU, and non-standard dimensions, with finish options including anodised stainless steel, powder coat, sublimation, and laser engraving to support airline livery or functional zone marking. All containers are manufactured under DKA's EASA POA (21G.007), CAAS POA, and CAAS DOA approvals, and are listed on the Boeing and Airbus approved supplier registers — a requirement for airworthiness-traced fitment on commercial aircraft. For GCC operators equipping new aircraft or refreshing galley inserts, the containers' dual ATLAS/KSSU compatibility means a single procurement covers mixed-fleet requirements across narrow-body and wide-body aircraft types.
