The CDA-14 is EINSA's diesel-powered self-propelled conveyor belt loader — a high-cycle ramp workhorse designed for the consistent throughput demands of commercial baggage handling, mail, and airfreight on every category of commercial aircraft in service. Its build specification centres on robustness: diesel engine with hydrostatic transmission for smooth, variable-speed belt drive and self-propulsion, hydraulic steering for full ramp manoeuvrability, and an easily accessible engine compartment that allows field maintenance without specialist tooling. The unit is available with a 6 m or 8 m boom. The 8 m boom is the standard selection for wide-body operations, providing the reach to position the belt tip into the forward and aft lower holds of B767, A330, and B777 aircraft from a normal stand geometry. The 6 m variant trades reach for a shorter overall length, which is preferable at congested turnaround gates or where the available apron depth limits the loader approach angle. The EN-12312-3-compliant design includes foldable telescopic handrails along the belt for operator safety and load security. The full options suite — open or closed cabin with optional heating, remote-control box, and aircraft-height auto-follow — allows configuration to the operational climate and procedural requirements of the buying airline or ground handler. Auto-follow in particular reduces cycle time and the risk of belt-tip contact with the aircraft hold sill when the aircraft settles during fuelling. In high-frequency turnaround environments typical of GCC hub and leisure-traffic airports, the CDA-14's diesel-based independence from charging infrastructure makes it deployable to any stand without pre-positioning support equipment.

Use cases.

  • High-cycle narrow-body and wide-body baggage loading and unloading at commercial airports
  • Airfreight and mail handling on belly-cargo services where consistent throughput is the primary KPI
  • Ramp operations at airports without a fixed power infrastructure for electric GSE charging
  • Ground-handling fleet anchor unit for mixed-fleet stands requiring full commercial aircraft coverage
  • Airlines and handlers specifying proven diesel reliability for 24/7 high-utilisation ramp environments
