Cable Products (EAZ / EABT / Under-Ramp Motorized Coil)

The single most common FOD hazard and ramp safety issue associated with mobile GPU operations is the cable: a 25-metre 400 Hz output cable lying across an active apron is a tripping hazard for personnel, a damage risk from GSE vehicles, and a source of connector wear if dragged or coiled improperly. ElectroAir's cable products range addresses cable management across three deployment scenarios. The EAZ zig-zag cable extender is a wheeled mobile cart that stores and extends 25 metres of 90 kVA-class 400 Hz power cable in a controlled zig-zag pattern, providing a tidy and protected cable path from a mobile GPU to the aircraft. The EABT mobile cable reel is a manual-winding reel on 8-inch wheels with a footbrake, carrying the same cable specification (25 m, 90 kVA, IP54) for operators preferring a drum rather than zig-zag format. The motorised under-ramp cable coil is a fixed installation — motorised, remote-controlled, carrying 26 metres of high-specification cable (7×35+18×1 mm² cross-section, IP55) — designed for wall or frame mounting below or adjacent to the stand position, with an electric motor handling coil and uncoil operation to eliminate manual cable handling entirely. All three products are rated for standard airport apron conditions. For procurement specifications, the choice between products depends on whether the stand has fixed or mobile infrastructure: mobile GPU stands need the EAZ or EABT; fixed pit or PBB stands with longer cable runs need the motorised coil.
