EACR Series — Combined 400 Hz AC + 28.5 VDC Power Supply Unit
Fixed solid-state combined power supply providing simultaneous 400 Hz AC and 28.5 VDC from a single stationary unit for gate, hangar, or simulator installations.
The EACR series is ElectroAir's solid-state combined power supply for fixed installations — the converter of choice when the servicing point is a permanent gate, a production line bay, or a simulator hall rather than a mobile apron. The flagship EACR-90-800 configuration delivers up to 90 kVA of 400 Hz AC (3×115/200 VAC) and up to 800 A of 28.5 VDC simultaneously through independent, separately regulated output channels. Channel independence is operationally significant: each output has its own line-drop compensation circuit, meaning that even over extended cable runs the voltage arriving at the aircraft connector stays within aircraft specification regardless of load on the other channel. A 28/56 VDC dual-channel option is available for installations serving aircraft types that use either standard 28.5 V or doubled-voltage 56 V DC buses. The EACR range is typically housed in an IP-rated steel cabinet and installed adjacent to or under the passenger boarding bridge, in the servicing pit, or in the MRO workshop. Unlike mobile diesel GPUs, the EACR depends on a stable utility feed — making it appropriate for airports with reliable apron power infrastructure. For procurement engineers specifying a new contact stand at a regional or international hub, the EACR offers predictable output quality, no fuel logistics, and lower ongoing maintenance than a diesel unit over its service life.
