The MUL-E is Ersel Technology's all-electric self-propelled belt loader, entering a class of equipment where major airports and airlines are actively replacing diesel units in response to net-zero ramp commitments and local air-quality regulations. Like the diesel MOBEL 7.5 HD it complements in Ersel's range, the MUL-E is a self-propelled conveyor unit — meaning it drives under its own power to and from the aircraft without a tug, and the operator manoeuvres it into position directly at the cargo door. The electric drive eliminates tailpipe emissions at the aircraft stand, a requirement that is becoming operationally binding at European hubs and increasingly present in GCC sustainability procurement frameworks attached to Vision 2030 and UAE Net Zero 2050 targets. Battery-electric belt loaders also produce significantly lower noise on the apron than diesel equivalents, relevant at night-slot airports with community noise obligations.
