The ARGO 1000 DV is a dual-view X-ray inspection system designed for the high-throughput screening of passenger hold baggage at commercial airports. Operating at 160 kV constant current, it generates two independent, orthogonally-acquired images of every item in a single pass, giving security operators a more complete volumetric read of bag contents than single-view equipment can provide — reducing the need to manually re-orient suspect items on a secondary belt.

The 1010 × 1010 mm tunnel aperture accommodates the full spectrum of checked baggage formats, from standard suitcases to oversized sporting equipment and diplomatic pouches, at conveyor speeds selectable between 0.2, 0.3, and 0.5 m/s to match lane throughput requirements. Both the ARGO 1000 DV and its HC variant integrate directly with airport Baggage Handling Systems (BHS), making them suitable for inline Level 1 screening within automated sortation infrastructure rather than only as standalone lane units.

On-board integration with Gilardoni's ADS (Automatic Detection Software) enables computer-assisted identification of solid explosives and narcotics, supporting operator performance under EU aviation security regulation while reducing false-positive referrals to Level 2. The platform supports TIP (Threat Image Projection) for operator training compliance. Network-ready architecture allows multiplexed operation across lanes and remote supervisor review from a central workstation. The ARGO 1000 DV sits at the top of Gilardoni's ARGO family and is the appropriate choice wherever a large-format dual-view inline solution is required — such as the main hold baggage screening hall of a medium to large hub airport. Its 1350 kg machine weight and standardised BHS interfaces make it compatible with new terminal builds and capacity-expansion retrofits.
