GA90
90 kVA diesel ground power unit with dual 400 Hz and optional 28 VDC output for narrow-body and regional aircraft servicing.
The Guinault GA90 is a mobile, diesel-engine-driven ground power unit delivering 90 kVA of regulated 400 Hz / 115–200 V three-phase power, the standard electrical supply format required by commercial transport aircraft for avionics, cabin systems, and pre-flight checkout. An optional simultaneous 28 VDC output (800 A continuous / 2,500 A peak) covers aircraft battery charging and DC-bus loads on the same unit without a secondary cart. The GA90 sits at the entry point of Guinault's mainline GA range and is suited to single-aisle aircraft such as the A320 family and Boeing 737, as well as regional jets and turboprops. It is the go-to choice for airports with high aircraft-per-gate throughput where a smaller footprint GPU matters — particularly at stands with constrained apron space or where towing radius is limited. Engine options span Deutz and Cummins, both available in emission tiers up to Stage 5 / Tier 4 Final, ensuring compliance with current airside emission regulations in Europe and North America. The alternator is Guinault's own brushless 28-pole design, directly coupled and running at 1,714 RPM for low harmonic distortion. Built-in WiFi, GSM, and GPS telematics allow fleet managers to monitor run-hours, fuel consumption, fault codes, and location remotely — a meaningful operational gain for large mixed fleets. The unit is rated for operation from −30 °C to +50 °C, covering both northern-Europe winter starts and high-ambient-temperature ramp environments including the Gulf region, where ground temperatures routinely exceed 40 °C. Available as a towable trailer or self-propelled chassis.
