Sustainability & Net-Zero Airport Carbon Programme
Whole-life carbon, LEED / BREEAM / WELL / IGCC accreditation and net-zero airport roadmaps for GCC Vision 2030 / Net Zero 2050 alignment.
HOK runs a dedicated sustainability practice — internally branded as Sustainable Design Network — that operates inside every aviation commission. Outputs cover whole-life carbon studies (embodied + operational), passive-design strategies for high-thermal-load Gulf climates, photovoltaic and BIPV integration, district-cooling tie-ins, water-positive landscaping and post-occupancy verification. The team is built to support GCC Vision 2030 sustainability mandates and the UAE / KSA / Qatar / Bahrain Net Zero 2050 commitments. Accreditations covered routinely include LEED Gold / Platinum, BREEAM Excellent / Outstanding, WELL Building Standard, IGCC, Estidama Pearl Rating (Abu Dhabi) and Mostadam (Saudi Arabia). Reference: Salt Lake City International, the largest LEED-targeted airport rebuild of its era, and ongoing Gulf retrofit and greenfield commissions.
