Plus+Line beam seating system
Ergonomically tuned beam seating with generous rounded cushioning and contemporary lines, suited to both short-transit and long-dwell passenger areas.
The Plus+Line is IMAT's mid-range modular beam seating system, designed around a softer, more relaxed aesthetic than the Master while retaining the same industrial-grade construction principles. Seat and backrest are independent components, each carrying generous polyurethane cushioning with pronounced rounded edges that distribute body weight more evenly than flat-face padding — a meaningful comfort advantage during the multi-hour waits common in connecting hubs and departure piers.
The backrest geometry follows lumbar contours to provide passive lower-back support without adjustable parts that could fail or be tampered with. The result is a seat that performs ergonomically for a wide anthropometric range (children through adults, varying body mass) without the operational overhead of adjustable mechanisms. The system is expressly designed for both short-stay and long-stay contexts, making it appropriate across a single terminal with varied dwell profiles: check-in hall seating, gate hold rooms, and airside retail corridors.
Structurally, the Plus+Line uses the same integral fire-retardant polyurethane foam as the rest of the IMAT range, with metallic non-combustible frames. It supports back-to-back configuration for pier or island placement, three base types (Arco, Compas, Fuego), in-beam power sockets, and the full table accessory range. The zero-maintenance commitment and continuous spare-parts availability carry across from the Master. The contemporary visual profile suits operators refurbishing terminals where aesthetics are a secondary procurement driver alongside lifecycle cost.

Use cases.
- ›Departure gate waiting rows where dwell times extend beyond 60 minutes and passenger comfort scores are monitored
- ›Check-in and landside concourse seating requiring a presentable aesthetic at moderate procurement cost
- ›Mixed-use terminal zones that serve both transit passengers with short dwell and origin-destination passengers with long dwell
- ›Terminal refurbishment projects where ergonomic accreditation is a tender criterion
- ›Airside retail corridors and food-and-beverage zones requiring durable, easy-clean seating adjacent to food service
