Sardi seating system

The Sardi is IMAT's most design-flexible seating line — a row-arrangement system built around a common structural platform that supports six named seat-and-back shape variants, each carrying a distinct visual character while sharing the same four leg types, accessory ecosystem, and maintenance profile. This architecture lets a terminal operator specify different Sardi variants across zones (departures, arrivals, landside concourse, forecourt) while maintaining supply-chain and spare-parts commonality.

The six models span a broad application range. Estar is shaped for high-density public areas where visual simplicity and seat count are the primary drivers. Descanso offers a more expressive aesthetic suited to medium-scale premium zones. Relax targets the middle ground — contemporary, calm, and broadly applicable. Reposo is the outdoor and semi-outdoor variant, rated for external installation and urban environments as well as internal use. Estar MW and Relax MW are the multi-width versions of their respective base models, offering wider seat dimensions for operators targeting higher anthropometric coverage.

All Sardi variants use integral fire-retardant polyurethane foam padding over metallic non-combustible frames — the same material specification as the rest of the IMAT range. The four leg types (Aire, Fuego, Fuego DD, and wall-mount options) allow deployment on any floor plan. The accessory set includes in-beam power boxes, 90-degree corner table units (useful for L-shaped configurations), and back-to-back mounting. The Sardi Estar model has a documented record of supply to airports across the Americas, Africa, and Europe. The SARDI ESTAR was IMAT's first airport seating model and remains one of its most frequently specified by airport operators.
