ITW GSE 7400 JetEx 28 VDC
A 40 kWh Li-ion battery eGPU delivering 28.5 VDC at 600 A continuous — up to 100 engine starts per charge for business jets and turboprops without a mains connection.
The ITW GSE 7400 JetEx is a battery-powered 28 VDC eGPU designed for engine starts, ramp operations, and avionics testing on general aviation and business jet aircraft. Its 40 kWh Li-ion battery pack powers an ITW GSE solid-state 28 VDC converter — the same proven output stage used in the wired 1400 GPU — delivering 600 A continuously with engine start capability peaking at 2,400 A. On a full charge, the unit can perform up to 100 engine starts, giving it multi-day operational range on a busy FBO or MRO ramp without recharging between every aircraft.
The JetEx can be recharged from a single-phase or three-phase 50/60 Hz supply (charger power: 15 kW at 3-phase, 5 kW at single-phase), and can deliver power to an aircraft while simultaneously charging from the mains — a useful capability during lengthy avionics or maintenance sessions. Current limit is operator-adjustable between 300 and 2,000 A, and voltage compensation is configurable manually or automatically via F-signal feedback. The mobile unit weighs approximately 740 kg and is mounted on a pneumatic-tyre trailer with towing eye for easy repositioning across the apron or hangar floor.
Operating temperature range is -10 °C to +45 °C without supplemental heating or cooling. The unit holds IP55 protection and meets ISO 6858:2017(E) and EN 62619 SIL2 battery safety standards. Aircraft well suited to the JetEx include the Cessna Citation family, Beechcraft, Dassault FalconJet, Gulfstream G250, ATR 42/72, and Bombardier Q Series.
