JetDock is an automated docking system that replaces the manually-guided bridge alignment and docking sequence with a one-button automated cycle. When activated, the system detects the parked aircraft's door location, drives the boarding bridge to the correct position, and completes the docking without requiring the operator to guide the cab manually toward the fuselage.

The decisive technical differentiator versus competing automated docking systems is that JetDock requires no decals, targets, or markings on the aircraft fuselage. This makes it genuinely fleet-agnostic: at a multi-use gate handling A320s, B737s, B787s, and A380s across the same operating day, the system adapts to each aircraft type without pre-programming decal positions or operator intervention per aircraft type. This is the practical constraint that limits most automated systems to single-airline or single-fleet gates — JetDock removes it.

The system can be factory-installed on new Jetway bridges or retrofitted to a wide range of existing Jetway models already in service, giving airport operators the ability to automate gates without full bridge replacement. From an operational standpoint, automated docking reduces mis-parking incidents, decreases gate agents' training requirements, and shortens the bridge-positioning phase of aircraft turn procedures — contributing to faster block-to-block times.

For GCC hub airports processing high daily turn volumes with mixed international fleets and multi-airline gate sharing, the combination of fleet-agnostic operation and retrofit capability is directly applicable to existing gate infrastructure. Reduced operator skill dependency is also relevant in high-staff-turnover ramp operating environments.

Best for

Use cases.

  • Multi-use gates at hub airports handling diverse international fleets across a single operating day
  • Airports seeking to reduce gate agent training burden and mis-parking incidents
  • Retrofit upgrade programme for existing Jetway bridge fleets without full bridge replacement capital expenditure
  • High-frequency gates where aircraft turn time improvement has measurable on-time performance impact
  • Multi-airline shared gate operations where fleet variety makes manually-targeted docking systems impractical
