The Jetway Corrugated Boarding Bridge is the workhouse variant of the Jetway family — a full apron drive PBB built from robust corrugated steel skin continuously welded along every seam. The corrugated profile stiffens the tunnel panels against wind, blast and ramp traffic vibration while the crowned roof geometry and welded seam construction prevent water pooling and channel precipitation away, addressing the primary corrosion failure mode on high-cycle bridges.

The bridge supports 2- and 3-tunnel layouts to reach a wide range of aircraft stand positions, and is available in 1-, 2-, or 3-bridge-per-gate arrangements for multi-bridge gates handling widebody and double-deck aircraft. Double-ply canopy closures at the aircraft end maintain a weather seal regardless of fuselage curvature or door surround geometry. Solid tyres on the drive bogie eliminate tyre maintenance from the reliability equation at high-turn airports.

Operationally, the Corrugated variant is the preferred specification at high-throughput utilisation airports where life-cycle cost, structural longevity, and minimised maintenance downtime outweigh the aesthetic premium of glass-walled alternatives. It is the standard choice for cargo ramp gates, low-cost carrier piers, and secondary international gates where durable function takes priority over terminal aesthetics.

For GCC procurement, the continuously-welded corrugated construction is well suited to the high daily-cycle environment of Gulf mega-hubs where a single gate can process 8–12 aircraft turns per day. Apron Drive allows one bridge to serve multiple aircraft types without gate reconfigurations, protecting capital investment as fleet mixes evolve. The platform is manufactured in an ISO 9001-certified facility and designed by licensed Professional Engineers.

Best for

Use cases.

  • High-frequency domestic and international gates where structural longevity and low maintenance cost are the primary procurement criteria
  • Multi-aircraft-type gates requiring Apron Drive flexibility across narrowbody and widebody fleets
  • Low-cost carrier and secondary terminal piers with aggressive daily turn targets
  • Replacement of ageing bridges at established airports seeking proven, parts-supported platform
  • Gates with GPU and PCA integration in high-ambient-temperature ramp environments
