Atlas/KSSU galley drawers are the primary organisable storage insert fitted inside airline service trolleys and containers. Each drawer slides into the trolley's front-to-back rails and provides a single horizontal storage tier for loose items — cutlery packs, condiments, portion cups, sealed snacks, or dry goods — that would otherwise move freely during turbulence. Kuipers Inflight offers these in two materials: polypropylene (PP) plastic and aluminium alloy. Plastic drawers are lighter and typically used for disposable or food-contact applications; aluminium drawers offer higher durability and are preferred for rotable high-cycle use in business-class service or premium galleys. Both materials are offered in Atlas and KSSU variants — these two standards differ in depth (Atlas approximately 40.5 cm, KSSU approximately 42.5 cm) and are not interchangeable, so operators must confirm their trolley standard before ordering. At approximately 0.67 kg (PP) to 0.80 kg (aluminium), the drawers contribute minimal tare weight to an already weight-sensitive assembly. Comb dividers are available for Atlas-standard drawers in long (360 × 75 mm) and short (215 × 75 mm) profiles, allowing galley planners to partition the drawer interior for segregated service setups. For GCC operators with mixed fleets — where Atlas dominates roughly 80% of the global installed base but older KSSU aircraft from KLM, former Swissair or SAS lineage remain in service — having both standards stocked ex-Netherlands provides a single-source solution across galley refreshes or MRO replenishment cycles.
