Standard galley containers are the modular storage units that slot into aircraft galley monuments to hold and organise service items — from drawers and glassware to dry goods and ground-provisioned supplies — between the catering truck and the trolley. Kuipers Inflight supplies both Atlas-standard and KSSU-standard containers with a slam-shut (push-to-close) lock as the default mechanism; the slam-shut design is the industry-dominant format, allowing galley crew to close the container door firmly with one hand during turbulence without engaging a separate latch. Containers are constructed from aluminium alloy and carry EASA Form 1 certification, enabling direct entry into airline maintenance programmes and satisfying GCAA and other bilateral-recognition frameworks without re-documentation. Atlas half-size and full-size units are the most commonly stocked formats; KSSU full-size containers are the highest-volume KSSU variant. Both standards are mutually incompatible, so procurement must be tied to the galley monument specification of the aircraft type in question. A key differentiator for Kuipers is the custom-manufacturing capability: containers can be produced to non-standard dimensions or against physical samples, with lead times measured in weeks rather than months. This is directly useful for airlines refurbishing older galley monuments or operating regional or VIP aircraft where non-standard cavities exist.
