The Commander 30i-E is the all-electric version of Oshkosh AeroTech's Commander 30i, the main-deck freighter loader of the Commander container/pallet loader family. The line traces back through JBT AeroTech (Oshkosh Corporation acquired the business in 2023), and the 30i-E brings its heaviest-duty everyday loader into the zero-emission catalogue.

Capacity matches the diesel 30i: 33,000 lb (15,000 kg) on the rear platform and 16,500 lb (7,500 kg) on the forward platform, sized for main-deck pallet exchange on freighter aircraft and lower-deck work across wide-bodies — the family services types from the B737 up to the A380. Drive is hydrostatic with dynamic braking, and a long-duration lithium-ion battery pack powers full loading shifts with zero emissions at the stand.

Charging is designed around airport reality rather than bespoke infrastructure: on-board and on-shore power options allow charging directly from 480 VAC/60 Hz or 380 VAC/50 Hz terminal power. The electric power module sits in the same swing-out arrangement as the diesel unit, keeping service access unrestricted, and PLC-based onboard diagnostics, dual-language controls, optional JetDock automated docking, optional Aircraft Proximity Detection sensors and iOPS equipment-monitoring carry over from the family. Maintenance-free tyre options further trim operating cost.

For GCC cargo hubs — where freighter main-deck turnarounds run around the clock and airport authorities are writing eGSE requirements into concession terms — the 30i-E offers a like-for-like electric replacement for the most common class of wide-body loader, with operator familiarity preserved across the mixed diesel/electric Commander fleets that handlers will run through the transition.
