The B-SCAN series uses low-dose transmission X-ray technology to screen individuals for objects concealed beneath clothing, inside body cavities, or within prosthetics and artificial limbs — threats that walk-through metal detectors and millimetre-wave systems cannot reliably find. The imaging system produces head-to-toe radiographic images in under seven seconds, enabling a single operator to clear or flag a subject without requiring physical searches for routine screening.

The product line is used at airport secondary screening positions, customs and border posts, correctional facilities, and high-security industrial sites. In aviation, it supports passenger secondary screening, aircrew controls, and staff access lanes where the threat profile warrants body-cavity detection capability beyond the primary metal-detection checkpoint.

Four variants cover different regulatory dose budgets. The 16HR-LD 100 operates at 0.1 µSv per scan — within the threshold most national regulators permit for frequent screening — while the 16HR-DV simultaneously generates a full-body image and a high-resolution torso image from two angles, making it the only dual-view transmission X-ray people scanner on the market. The non-radioactive design eliminates the nuclear regulatory licensing burden that accompanies isotope-based alternatives.

For GCC airports, the B-SCAN addresses a specific procurement gap: detecting narcotics swallowing (body packing) and improvised concealment that standard checkpoint equipment misses. The dose-budget variants allow operators to align procurement with local regulatory limits on annual scan counts.
