TUG GT-35
A 28,000 lb drawbar diesel pushback built for high-cycle narrowbody and regional widebody operations.
The TUG GT-35 is a conventional towbar-equipped diesel pushback tractor engineered for the demanding throughput of mid-to-large airports. Its 28,000 lb (12,727 kg) maximum drawbar pull and a gross vehicle weight ceiling of 40,000 lb (18,160 kg) make it suitable for a broad range of aircraft types from narrowbodies up through the B767 and A330 class. Power comes from a choice of DEUTZ TCD 3.6L Tier 4F or Cummins Tier 4F engine, both paired with a ZF 4WG190 four-speed automatic transmission for smooth, repeatable engagement under load.
The chassis is designed with an OSHA-compliant work surface and a low-profile deck height of under 48 in (121 cm), reducing step-up ergonomic risk during high-turnover shifts. A three-man cab — configurable open or closed — accommodates the crew model used by most major airlines and handlers for pushback certification. Automotive-style steering and a multifunction LCD display reduce training burden when integrating the GT-35 into a mixed fleet.
Dimensions: width 89 in (2,261 mm), length without hitches 186 in (4,724 mm), height with cab 80.5 in. The GT-35's established serviceability record and widespread parts availability make it a recurring procurement choice at hubs where minimal downtime is non-negotiable. For Gulf operators running A320-family and B737 MAX fleets through tight turn schedules, the GT-35 provides a cost-predictable tow platform for the majority of pushback cycles.
