180-ton PCA unit for A380 ground cooling at 50°C ambient.
Twist PCA-180 is a 180-ton (633 kW) point-of-use pre-conditioned air system purpose-built for Code F aircraft (A380 and B747-8). It supplies cabin-temperature air to the aircraft through two 400 mm hoses at 1 – 4°C delivery temperature even when ambient exceeds 50°C. Mounted under jet bridge or on the apron, it lets airlines keep APU off, saving ~200 kg jet-A per turnaround and cutting NOx emissions on stand.
