PowerPile Ground Stabilisation System
Patented inflatable resin pile that strengthens very weak ground through a 50 mm hole — no excavation.
PowerPile is URETEK's patented ground-stabilisation technology for treating subsidence and strengthening very weak ground. Narrow-diameter piles with an expandable casing are inserted through small drill holes (up to 50 mm); a highly expansive geopolymer is then injected inside the casing, creating a pile up to 400 mm in diameter that hardens almost immediately and compacts the surrounding soil. It eliminates the cost and disruption of traditional underpinning or piling and has been used to re-support airport structures such as aircraft hangars.
