The KritiScan 100100 is a multi-energy X-ray baggage inspection system with a 1010 mm wide by 1010 mm high tunnel — the large-format tunnel class used in hold-baggage screening (HBS) lines, outsize baggage reclaim, cargo acceptance, and diplomatic-pouch examination. The 1,010 mm square aperture accommodates full-size check-in bags, golf bags, pushchairs, and standard air-cargo pieces without requiring manual inspection as an overflow. The scanner applies atomic-number-based material discrimination and dual-energy virtual imaging to generate colour-differentiated images that classify materials as organic (orange), inorganic (green), or metallic (blue) simultaneously. High-penetration X-ray output is calibrated for dense, stacked luggage loads typical in hold-baggage streams. Software distortion correction maintains dimensional accuracy across the full tunnel width, important when operators are making size-estimation judgements on concealed objects. In an airport hold-baggage environment the KritiScan 100100 typically operates as a Level 1 or Level 2 screening station within an automated baggage handling line, with conveyor integrations to divert suspect bags to Level 3 manual search. The dual-view variant (100100 DV) adds a second orthogonal detector array to provide both horizontal and vertical projections in a single pass, substantially improving detection probability for threats oriented to defeat a single-angle scan. An optional AI-based shape and object detection module can be layered over the baseline image to flag defined threat morphologies.
