The company's Hivemind platform provides AI piloting and autonomy software for fighter jets and unmanned aircraft, comprising EdgeOS (runtime), Pilot (autonomy catalog), Forge (autonomy factory), and Commander (command and control toolkit). Shield AI also produces the V-BAT vertical take-off and landing ISR platform, the X-BAT AI-piloted VTOL fighter jet, and ViDAR surveillance hardware. Contracts include DARPA/US Air Force autonomous dogfighting demonstrations on the X-62 VISTA aircraft, autonomous flight testing with General Atomics MQ-20 Avenger, and dual-ship tests with Kratos MQM-178 Firejet. The company raised $2 billion at a $12.7 billion valuation following the acquisition of Aechelon.
