SIDES, founded 1956 and part of Groupe Desautel since 2016, is the French ARFF manufacturer of reference. Its VMA range (Véhicule Mousse Aéroport) spans 4×4, 6×6 and 8×8, and the new S³X platform is the first French-built CAT-10 8×8 with a 14,000 L water tank, 1,700 L foam, dual-agent dry-chem pod and optional Falcon high-reach piercing arm. SIDES supplies the Emirati Presidential Airport and multiple North African and Levant airports. Desautel Group backing gives SIDES access to a wider foam and extinguisher portfolio including F-500 encapsulator agents.
