AARTOS Jamming Systems
A scalable family of RF jamming systems — from 40 W handheld to 800 W programmable 360° smart jammer — that defeats rogue drones across 400 MHz to 6 GHz when tightly integrated with the AARTOS detection chain.
The AARTOS Jamming Systems are the defeat layer of Aaronia's counter-UAS architecture, designed to be activated automatically or operator-directed once the AARTOS DDS has identified and locked onto a target. The product line spans three primary configurations matched to different operational contexts and legal frameworks, all sharing the same RTSA-Suite PRO software integration that enables single-operator detect-identify-defeat workflows.
The MJ-40 handheld jammer is a 40 W portable unit covering four frequency bands to a range of 2 km, intended for security personnel at dynamic events or checkpoint operations where mobility takes precedence over range. The FJ-390 sector jammer is a fixed-mount or mast-deployed unit delivering 390 W across up to seven frequency bands including GPS L-band, 2.4 GHz, 5.2 GHz, and 5.8 GHz; its four directional antennas produce a 3 km effective radius and keep interference confined to the threat bearing, avoiding collateral disruption to aviation navigation aids. The SJ-240/800 Smart Jammer is the large-perimeter solution: 240–800 W continuous wave output (up to 5,000 W EIRP with directional gain), eight addressable sectors covering the full 400 MHz–6 GHz band with programmable frequency selection, and an effective radius of 4–10 km depending on power setting. It is the configuration deployed at major airport perimeters where a known threat axis requires sustained, automatically aimed suppression.
All AARTOS jammers are frequency-selective by design: only the bands identified as carrying the drone's command or telemetry links are activated, minimising interference to adjacent licensed spectrum — a non-negotiable requirement at airports operating ILS, VOR, ATIS, and ATC ground communications in parallel. Government regulatory authorisation is a prerequisite for operational deployment in all jurisdictions, and Aaronia supplies the systems primarily to defence, civil aviation authority, and critical infrastructure clients with appropriate licences. With over 650 AARTOS installations worldwide, the integration between detection and defeat layers has been validated across multiple airport and national-security environments.

Use cases.
- ›Automatic targeted defeat of rogue drones once AARTOS DDS locks bearing and classification — minimising human reaction time
- ›Fixed perimeter defence at international airports: directional sector jamming on identified threat bearings without disrupting ILS, VOR, or ATC frequencies
- ›Mobile and rapid-deployment event security using the handheld MJ-40 in the hands of ground security teams
- ›Wide-area smart jamming across airport estates and military airbases using the 4–10 km SJ-800 with programmable frequency selection
- ›Integration into vehicle-mounted or shelter-based C-UAS pods for deployable force protection in the field
- ›Government and civil-aviation authority counter-drone programmes requiring demonstrated airport-sector reference deployments
