Respondol ATF 1x3%
The first 1% fluorine-free foam concentrate for hydrocarbon fires, also effective at 3% on polar solvents — halving concentrate requirements for large-area fuel-in-depth incidents without sacrificing certified performance.
Respondol ATF 1x3% is described by Angus Fire as the first 1% fluorine-free foam concentrate developed specifically for emergency responders handling large, fuel-in-depth fire incidents. The 1% hydrocarbon rate is the critical commercial differentiator: on a major aviation fuel spillage or fuel-farm tank bund fire, every percentage point of induction rate directly scales the concentrate volume needed. Cutting from 3% to 1% reduces on-hand foam stock requirements by two-thirds, a significant factor for fixed-system procurement at large fuel storage installations or for mobile tankers servicing multiple airfield locations.
The product is an alcohol-resistant formulation (AR-FF type) that operates at 3% on polar solvents — alcohols, ketones, esters, ethers — covering facilities where Jet-A kerosene co-exists with chemical intermediates in maintenance or refuelling operations. Its non-Newtonian rheology and specific gravity of 1.06–1.08 at 20 °C distinguish it from the Newtonian JetFoam line; it is intended for systems designed or verified for AR-type concentrate flow characteristics.
Certified to UL 162 Type II and III and ULC 162, Lastfire-approved with 'Good' results across all nozzle types in both fresh and saltwater, and compatible with dry chemical twin-agent systems. A freezing point of -10 °C makes it operationally reliable in cold-climate environments. The minimum 10-year shelf life supports long-term fixed system commissioning. Fully biodegradable with no siloxanes, fluorosurfactants, or fluoropolymers.

Use cases.
- ›Large aviation fuel farm tank bund and dike fire suppression systems where concentrate storage volume is constrained
- ›Mobile foam tender and demountable tank operations where concentrate carry weight must be minimised
- ›Fuel depots co-storing Jet-A and polar-solvent chemicals requiring a single 1/3% AR-FF product
- ›Cold-climate airfield fire stations requiring a foam concentrate with low freeze point
- ›Lastfire-qualified applications at petroleum terminals and airport fuel storage installations
