The JANY is Be-Ge Seating's series of fixed passenger seats designed and type-approved for M1-category vehicles — light commercial and passenger vehicles carrying up to eight passengers in addition to the driver. Built around a rigid steel frame, the seat pairs a static or adjustable backrest with a factory-integrated three-point seat belt and, depending on the variant, a fixed or height/angle-adjustable integrated headrest. Comfort foam density and upholstery grade are specified to OEM order, with choices spanning OEM fabric, vinyl, leather, or customer-supplied material.

Within aviation ground operations, the JANY seat is the fit-out choice for airside and landside vehicles in the M1 class: crew transfer vans moving flight and cabin crew between remote stands and terminals, follow-me and marshalling support vehicles, airside ambulance and medical-response vans, VIP or executive transport minibuses within secured airport zones, and ground-handler staff shuttles. Any operator procuring or re-bodying a van-format GSE vehicle that will carry personnel and must hold EU vehicle type approval or IVA/NSSTA certification needs seats that bring their own homologation documentation — which the JANY provides.

The seat is independently tested and approved by TÜV Rheinland against ECE R14 (seat-belt anchorages), ECE R16 (safety-belt systems), and ECE R17 (seats, anchorages, and head restraints), covering the directives relevant to Directive 2007/46/EC. TÜV Rheinland witnesses static load tests, pulling at forces equivalent to approximately 3.4 tonnes, and issues approval reports that permit vehicle builders to achieve ECWVTA or IVA type approval without retesting the seat. The seat is also approved by major van OEMs — Ford, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, Peugeot, Renault, Fiat, Toyota, Nissan, Citroën, and Opel — reducing integration risk for operators converting donor vehicles.

In GCC and wider Middle East operations, where ambient temperatures routinely exceed 45 °C and seat materials must tolerate prolonged solar loading in parked vehicles, vinyl and specialist thermally-stable upholstery options are particularly relevant. Optional armrests and ISOFIX points are available for configuring crew-comfort or child-restraint-compatible layouts.
