DroneGun Tactical
A rifle-format multi-band RF jammer covering five ISM and two GNSS bands with an effective disruption range up to 2 km and over two hours of aggregate battery life.
DroneGun Tactical is DroneShield's full-range handheld effector, designed for operators who need greater standoff distance and extended operational endurance than the compact Mk4 provides, and who can accept the heavier carry weight of a full-length rifle format. At 7.3 kg loaded (including two batteries), it is heavier than the Mk4 but delivers coverage across five discrete ISM frequency bands — 433 MHz, 915 MHz, 2.4 GHz, and 5.8 GHz — plus two GNSS bands (L1 at 1575–1605 MHz and L2 at 1227–1251 MHz). This multi-band simultaneous jamming capability means the operator does not need to identify the specific frequency a target drone is using before activating: all bands are disrupted in parallel, which reduces decision time and operator training requirements in a high-stress intercept scenario. Effective disruption range is documented at 1–2 km, with some sources citing up to 2.5 km; the variance reflects real-world environmental factors (terrain, interference environment) rather than a claimed ceiling the product cannot meet. Two rechargeable lithium-ion batteries at 14.4 VDC provide more than two hours of aggregate operational time, again allowing extended deployment without a vehicle resupply. The design IP54 rating provides dust and splash resistance for field operations; the -20°C to +55°C temperature envelope covers the full GCC climate range. Antenna configuration is high-performance directional — the operator points toward the target, rather than relying on an omni field — which concentrates energy and extends effective range versus omni designs of equivalent power. DroneGun Tactical sits at the upper end of the handheld range: the right choice where standoff, frequency breadth, and endurance matter more than carry weight.

Use cases.
- ›Static force-protection posts at airfield gates, forward bases, and port entry points requiring standoff disruption
- ›Military checkpoint teams needing sustained multi-hour jamming capability without vehicle resupply
- ›Critical-infrastructure protection teams where longer effective range justifies the carry weight
- ›Counter-drone response at large outdoor events and stadium security operations
- ›Training institutions using a well-documented, operator-familiar rifle-format effector for C-UAS instruction
