RfPatrol Mk2 is DroneShield's wearable drone-detection device, designed to give an individual operator persistent RF airspace awareness without requiring any action from the wearer between alerts. It operates passively — no emissions, no radar — scanning the ISM and common control frequencies used by commercial UAS via a software-defined radio engine with on-device AI classification. When a drone signal is detected, the unit alerts through visual, audible, or haptic (vibration) output; the operator's preferred notification mode is configurable, which matters for tactical scenarios where audible alerts would compromise a patrol's signature. The device weighs 800 g excluding antennas and battery (the battery itself adds 380 g) and measures 157 × 92 × 51 mm, making it pocket-sized or rig-mountable. The quick-release lithium-ion battery provides up to eight hours of continuous operation — a full operational shift — and can be replaced in the field without tools. IP67 sealing and a -32°C to +60°C operating envelope extend its usefulness from sub-zero mountain environments through to the extreme heat of Gulf summer operations on the ramp or at a checkpoint. Two operating modes give flexibility: Stealth suppresses all outward indicators, relying solely on haptic feedback; Glimpse allows a brief visible alert while minimising signature. In a layered site-security architecture, RfPatrol Mk2 functions as the individual-level early-warning layer beneath larger vehicle-mounted or fixed systems — giving perimeter walkers, VIP-protection teams, and checkpoint officers personal situational awareness independent of a networked C2 system.
