The APA-110 is a towable, diesel engine-driven mobile ground power unit built around a Perkins or Deutz engine running at a fixed 1,500 RPM. Its primary purpose is to supply stable 400 Hz aircraft power wherever fixed apron infrastructure is unavailable — remote gates, forward operating bases, temporary MRO sites, or backup duties during fixed-unit outages. The platform spans five configurations: pure 400 Hz AC in 60 or 90 kVA ratings, a standalone 28.5 VDC/800 A rectifier variant, and two combined EACR builds (60 kVA + 300 A DC, or 90 kVA + 800 A DC) for operators requiring simultaneous AC and DC servicing. An optional plug-in function allows zero-emission hangar use by drawing from shore power while retaining full diesel capability on the apron. Output power quality is tightly controlled: frequency stability of 400 ±0.01 Hz and THD ≤ 3% protect aircraft avionics and minimize inrush stress. The IP55-rated composite enclosure handles temperatures from -20°C to +55°C (optional -40°C build) and 10–100% humidity — conditions representative of Gulf and northern European apron environments alike. An integrated fuel tank sustains more than eight hours of continuous full-load operation. Comprehensive protection covers over- and undervoltage, over- and underfrequency, overload, short-circuit, and overheating, with an emergency-stop button for immediate shutdown. For procurement engineers selecting a mobile GPU, the APA-110 sits in the mid-weight utility tier: heavier and more capable than a quick-starter, but simpler and easier to position than a fully truck-integrated unit like the APA-165E.

Best for

Use cases.

  • Remote apron stands without fixed 400 Hz pit connections
  • Airfields with limited or no grid access requiring mobile daily operations
  • MRO hangars needing reliable ground power during A- and B-check servicing
  • Military bases and expeditionary deployments requiring rugged, towable GPU support
  • Backup or contingency GPU coverage during fixed-unit maintenance or peak-demand periods
  • Mixed-fleet operators needing both 400 Hz AC and 28.5 VDC from a single unit (EACR variants)
