Hatch EAPIT System (Standard Underground Hatch PIT System)
Cost of ownership
The Hatch EAPIT is a fixed underground counterweight-hatch PIT system that delivers ground-power and utilities to aircraft directly at the stand. Plugs on the upper part of the hatch supply either 400 Hz AC or 28.5 VDC; distribution boxes for 400 Hz and 50/60 Hz sit in an underground concrete bunker. It is preassembled for simple installation, can be remote-controlled, and accepts a manhole. ElectroAir recommends pairing it with their own GPUs so the GPU can be sited far from the PIT. Compressed air and water (potable/blue/sewer) can be built in, and a PCA variant is available with a long-term/rigid PCA hose.
