A380 C-Check + Heavy Maintenance at Etihad Engineering (AUH)
A380-capable hangar bays and a dedicated paint hangar at AUH, with in-house STC issue.
Scheduled 18–24-month interval C-check covering airframe primary structure, systems checks, landing-gear swap-out, cabin deep-clean, composite repair, and full pre-service run-up — performed in Etihad Engineering's A380-capable hangars (accommodating up to three A380s simultaneously) at Abu Dhabi International (AUH). The dedicated paint hangar accommodates widebody aircraft up to the A380, allowing combined heavy-check + livery refresh in a single down-time slot. EASA Part-21/J Design Organisation Approval enables in-house STC engineering for cabin and avionics modifications scheduled into the same hangar visit, removing OEM-engineering bottlenecks that delay competing MROs.
