The Guinault GF/CF50 is the highest-capacity mobile ACU in Guinault's commercial aviation range, delivering up to 5.0 kg/s of conditioned airflow for ground servicing of large wide-body aircraft. The unit targets aircraft codes C through F — encompassing the A330, B777, and extending up to the A380, which requires multiple high-volume PCA connections to maintain cabin temperature across its double-deck passenger volume. As with the GF/CF35, the 'GF' variant is a standalone ACU while the 'CF' variant integrates a 400 Hz GPU, providing both conditioned air and electrical ground power in a single vehicle — practically important for wide-body turns where stand space and servicing choreography are tightly managed. Output airflow is adjustable from 1.2 to 5.0 kg/s, allowing the same unit to service smaller aircraft during off-peak periods or staged approach of the aircraft. Cold outlet temperature is regulated to approximately +2 °C at the unit outlet under a 35 °C / 50% RH ambient reference condition, well within the range required to counteract the cabin heat soak of a wide-body that has arrived from a high-ambient departure port. An optional hot mode (+65 °C) is available. The GF/CF50 is powered by a Deutz diesel and is equipped with two 14-inch (350 mm) diameter, 12-metre outlet hoses, enabling connection to the twin PCA ports typical of wide-body aircraft without repositioning the unit. Anti-corrosion construction (polyester canopy, plastic fuel tank, electro-galvanised steel chassis) is standard — relevant for coastal Gulf airports where saline humidity and UV exposure degrade unprotected metalwork. WiFi, GSM, and GPS telematics are standard. At 10,100–10,500 kg, the GF/CF50 is a purpose-built wide-body ramp unit requiring dedicated positioning logistics.

Best for

Use cases.

  • Wide-body and super-jumbo (Code F / A380) cabin conditioning during full ground turns
  • High-ambient ramp environments including Gulf airports where cabin heat soak is severe
  • APU-OFF programmes for A330, B777, and A380 operators seeking fuel savings at the gate
  • Combined GPU/ACU configuration (CF50) for single-unit wide-body stand servicing
  • Cargo and VIP wide-body operations requiring sustained, high-volume pre-conditioned air
  • Coastal or desert airport environments requiring corrosion-resistant GSE construction
