HÜBNER PBB Folding Canopy
Folding canopy sealing PBB to fuselage, regional jet to A380.
HÜBNER's folding canopy is the de-facto industry standard at the aircraft end of every modern PBB cab. The company delivered its first unit in 1971 and has since shipped over 5,000 canopies. The folding-bellows material is developed and produced in-house using HÜBNER's own polymer formulations, which absorb minimal moisture and remain supple from –40°C Arctic winters to +55°C Gulf summers. The patented kinematic lets one canopy geometry seal against the full commercial fleet from ATR regional jets to the A380. Fire resistance meets NFPA 415.
