Crossing Detection Unit (CDU) with LEAD-ON and STOP BAR control for CAT II/III
Field-deployed sensor that detects taxiway holding-position crossings — drives LEAD-ON / STOP BAR via the MIA System.
The Crossing Detection Unit is the optical-fibre sensor that detects vehicles or aircraft crossing taxiway holding positions. It pairs natively with the MIA System to drive the LEAD-ON / STOP BAR sequence required by ICAO Annex 14 for low-visibility CAT II/III operations. Each CDU integrates with the airfield's existing AGL infrastructure — no separate cabling and no civil works.
