Autonomous Runway Safeguard (ArS) — radar-free incursion alerting
Radar-free autonomous runway-incursion alerting — no civil works required.
The Autonomous Runway Safeguard detects unauthorised runway entry without radar and without civil works. Built on the MIA L-890 stack and using Crossing Detection Units (CDU) at holding positions, it identifies vehicle or aircraft intrusions in under half a second and triggers stop-bar and visual-warning logic via the existing ALCMS. Particularly suited to general aviation, regional airports and remote-tower installations where radar deployment is not budget-feasible.
