M 528
Entry-level electric towbarless tug for light and business aircraft up to 28 tonnes, engineered for FBO and corporate flight department use.
The Mototok M 528 is the highest-capacity model in the M-Series entry-level range, providing the same towbarless, fully electric, radio-remote-controlled principle as the larger Spacer and TWIN platforms scaled down for light and business aircraft up to 28 tonnes (61,700 lbs). It serves FBOs, MRO facilities, corporate flight departments, aircraft management companies, and private operators where the fleet is composed of turboprops, light jets, mid-size jets, and most wheeled helicopters.
Compatible aircraft include Pilatus PC-12 and PC-24, Embraer Phenom 300 and Praetor 500/600, Gulfstream G280, Bombardier Challenger 300/604 and 3500/650, Citation CJ series, King Air turboprops, Learjets, and equivalent types, plus helicopters up to 28 t including Sikorsky, Agusta-Leonardo, and Bell platforms. The 1,810 × 1,810 mm square footprint and 330 mm height give it an extremely small ramp and hangar presence; the tug can be stored under aircraft fuselages or in utility bays where full-size tugs cannot operate.
The M 528 features fully automatic one-click nosegear loading with sensor-controlled hydraulic clamping paddles — a level of automation not typically found in this equipment class. The hydraulic door, platform lift and clamping sequence execute at a single button press, completing in 10–15 seconds. An optional oversteering protection shear-pin system interrupts torque at the nosegear limit, sounds an alarm, and stops the tug automatically — preventing inadvertent nosegear overrotation damage. The 48 V / 4 × 115 Ah battery pack and 1.3 kW motors reflect the lighter duty cycle.
For GCC business aviation facilities — regional FBOs at Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, Al Bateen Executive, and corporate hangars at Riyadh's KKIA — the M 528 provides a right-sized, zero-licence, one-person solution at the entry point of the Mototok range.
