Ridgeback / Wolfpack Drone Detectors
Vehicle-mounted (Ridgeback) and portable tripod (Wolfpack 210) RF drone detectors providing 360° passive sensing up to 10 km for mobile and temporary deployments.
The Ridgeback and Wolfpack 210 are two complementary RF-based drone detection systems from MyDefence addressing different deployment contexts within the same counter-UAS architecture.
The Ridgeback is a vehicle-integrated detection kit pairing a Wingman 103 or 105 sensor with the AA101 Sharkfin antenna via magnetic roof-mount. No vehicle modification or tooling is required — the system is operational within seconds. Without the antenna the Wingman core covers 2.4, 5.2, and 5.8 GHz at 90° aperture; adding the Sharkfin extends coverage to 433 MHz, 868 MHz, 915 MHz, and 1.2 GHz with omnidirectional 360° acquisition and detection range up to 3 km. The kit is compatible with LAVs, VIP protection vehicles, police cars, and lightly armoured platforms, making it the primary solution for convoy or patrol routes where threats cannot be anticipated from a fixed bearing.
The Wolfpack 210 is a standalone mast- or tripod-mountable sensor intended for rapidly deployed perimeter cordons, forward operating bases, or temporary event security. It covers the same 433 MHz–5.8 GHz band set with a detection range up to 10 km at 5° RMS direction-finding accuracy, IP67-rated against sustained rain and dust ingress, and operating across the full −30 °C to +65 °C envelope relevant to Gulf and desert climates. Both systems output data via API to the MyDefence Argos/Iris situational-awareness platform or any third-party C2.
For GCC procurement teams, the Wolfpack's long-range detection and NATO-aligned ruggedisation make it suited to perimeter extensions at sensitive facilities; the Ridgeback covers convoy and mobile-patrol gaps that fixed perimeter sensors cannot address.
