MICALERT is a passive microphonic intrusion detection system engineered for rigid metal fences where standard vibration cables underperform — palisade, ornamental, wrought-iron, aluminum and welded metal fencing. The sensor cable acts as a distributed microphone attached directly to the fence without any conduit: the analyzer senses the frequency signatures generated by cutting, climbing or forcing the fence while filtering those produced by weather. The system self-calibrates, and per-zone sensitivity is adjustable across 22 on-board levels or 500 levels via software. The 3 mm UV-rated black cable ships in pre-cut 75 m, 152 m and 305 m (250, 500 and 1,000 ft) lengths, with each LPU-402 fence processor monitoring up to 600 m (2,000 ft) of cable across two zones — up to 300 m (1,000 ft) per zone. Six ready-to-install kit configurations (RB-MIC1Z250 through RB-MIC2Z1000) pair the fence processor with sensor cable and two end-of-line units in single- or dual-zone layouts; no training, special tools or certification are required, an installation manual is included, and the sensor cable is maintenance-free with a two-year warranty. The analyzer accepts 2-4 sensor cable inputs plus four supervised accessory inputs (gate magnets, contacts, microwave, motion detectors) and a tamper switch, and provides eight configurable NO/NC dry-contact relay outputs rated 1 A @ 12 VDC plus dedicated tamper and power-outage relays, so it retrofits to any alarm panel or DVR without protocol work. Communication to a PC is via USB-C with optional RS485 or IP. Two-layer surge protection with gas discharge devices on all inputs, outputs and communication lines guards against lightning. Electronics are housed in a NEMA 4X / IP-66 enclosure (24 x 19.5 x 7 cm, 1 kg) rated -40°C to +105°C and up to 98% non-condensing humidity, powered from 12-24 VDC at 300 mA. Accessories include stainless-steel cable ties with installation tools, end-of-line terminations, weatherproof splice/extension units, gate connectors and a sliding-gate kit. RBtec positions MICALERT for commercial and industrial areas, houses and estates, data centers, solar farms and photovoltaic plants, vehicle and equipment storage areas, radio/cellular/communication antenna sites, self-storage facilities, and for combination with crash-rated fencing.
