FiberPatrol FP1150 is a fibre-optic perimeter intrusion detection system that uses a single fibre-optic cable mounted on an airport fence to detect climbing, cutting or lifting attempts. A single processor covers up to 2 × 80 km of fence per unit, with intrusion localisation to within 5 m. The system includes adaptive algorithms that compensate for wind, rain and desert thermal cycles — a specific challenge on GCC perimeters.
