Component MRO

AAR Component MRO provides maintenance, repair, and overhaul services on airframe and engine accessories at six primary facilities in Amsterdam, Grand Prairie TX, Hot Springs AR, San Antonio TX, Wellington KS, and Thailand. The network maintains approved capability on more than 32,000 part numbers, covering a deliberately broad component cross-section that allows operators to consolidate repair routing rather than managing multiple specialised vendors.

Component categories span the major aircraft system groups: APUs and associated fuel starters, pumps, and harnesses; electro-mechanical systems including actuators, flap/slat drives, and engine sensors; engine gearboxes; fuel system components; hydraulic actuators, pumps, and thrust-reverser actuators; power generation equipment (constant-speed drives and generators); pneumatic valves, air turbine starters, and heat exchangers; instruments and avionics including altimeters, airspeed indicators, and navigation and communication systems; nacelles, cowls, flight control surfaces, and landing gear doors; and cabin interior items such as passenger service units, crew seats, and galley equipment. Helicopter APU capability extends the addressable fleet beyond commercial jets.

A joint venture with Air France Industries — xCelle Americas/Asia — handles next-generation nacelle component repairs, giving operators access to OEM-partnered nacelle expertise within the AAR network. For GCC operators managing mixed Airbus/Boeing fleets and seeking to reduce shop-visit turn-times, the breadth of approved part numbers within a common logistics and quality framework is a material operational benefit compared with routing components to multiple single-discipline vendors.
